The native mode work with a certicate server for authentification between site server and client.

Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2012 (SCOM2012) : Setup and Config,Part 2

Hi all,

The video session on Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2012 (SCOM2012) continu and for this the second video (Part2), It's the Setup and config theme!!!

Speakers: Maarten Goet, Rob Kuehfus

Reminder , What's Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2012 (SCOM2012):

System Center Operations Manager uniquely enables customers to reduce the cost of data center management across server operating systems and hypervisors through a single, familiar and easy to use interface. Through numerous views that show state, health and performance information as well as alerts generated according to some availability, performance, configuration or security situation being identified, operators can gain rapid insight into the state of the IT environment, and the IT services running across different systems and workloads.

By extending the value that existing Operations Manager customers already see in managing their Windows Server deployed applications to UNIX and Linux, customers are also able to better meet their service level agreements for applications in the data center.

With Operations Manager customers are also able to improve their availability and performance metrics through enhanced service level monitoring, while their IT operations staff will be able to have improved access the key functionality they need to maintain and enhance the service they deliver to their end users.

Little reminder:

What's SCCM 2012:

System Center Configuration Manager 2012 Beta 2 helps you empower your employees to use the devices and applications they need to be productive, while maintaining corporate compliance and control. In today’s workplace, the boundaries between work and life have blurred. People expect consistent access to corporate services from wherever they are, on any device they’re using—including desktops, laptops, smart phones, and slates.

System Center Configuration Manager 2012 Beta 2 helps you embrace this consumerization trend – without giving up the control needed to protect corporate assets. With System Center Configuration Manager 2012 Beta 2 user experiences can be delivered and managed based on corporate identity, network connectivity, and device type – enabling you to meet the demand for consistent, anywhere access to corporate services. It provides you with a unified infrastructure for mobile, physical and virtual environments helps you manage everything in the same place and using the same processes you already have established. That same infrastructure also extends to include critical endpoint security and service management technologies you need to protect and support your workers. At the same time, simplified administrative tools and improved compliance enforcement mechanisms help to make IT more efficient and effective.

What's FEP 2012:

Forefront Endpoint Protection 2012 continues to deliver on the promise of Forefront Endpoint Protection 2010, simplifying and improving endpoint protection while also greatly reducing infrastructure costs. It builds on System Center Configuration Manager, allowing customers to implement endpoint protection as part of a unified infrastructure for securing and managing physical, virtual, and mobile client environments. This shared infrastructure lowers ownership costs while providing improved visibility and control over endpoint management and security. New features in the beta release include:- Support for System Center Configuration Manager 2012- Role-based administration- More efficient delivery of security updates
